Burwood, Christchurch

Hey there!

There is 1 bedroom available on the 22nd June for a person to move into who are looking for a place to call home, and who want to live with other Christians and do life together. It's a 4 Bedroom/1Bathroom, healthy homes approved single-story home right next to the redzone!

Rent is $165, including rent, power, internet and other flat basics like cleaning supplies, toilet paper, salt, pepper, oil etc.

The house is fully furnished, We have 2 heat pumps to keep the house warm, 2 fridges, an air fryer, a dishwasher, drier/washing machine. The room is unfurnished and has a wardrobe. There is plenty of off-street parking!

The house is in Burwood, right on the Redzone and Avon river which is beautiful for walks and adventures. New Brighton is very close if you like the beach, and there are 2 bus stops close by, one right outside our gate, the other 5 mins walk away (the 60 and 7)

The other bonus is an incredible Anglican church right next door, All Saints Burwood ALL SAINTS (eastchch.church), which i attend and living so close makes it easy to get to on a Sunday!

The ideal person would be a committed Christian who wants to find a place to call home, with other Christians. They need to be committed to open and honest communication, mutual care and respect for each other and creating a space where people feel welcomed and at home. Not a party house so the preference is no alcohol/drugs in the house. . This could also suit someone new to ÅŒtautahi, Christchurch who is looking for community. This is also a safe space, which is inclusive of all people!

Current flatmates are me (Aleisha) I'm the head tenant, I'm currently studying at Laidlaw College, and I'm passionate about contributing to the life of my community. I enjoy walks and adventures, board games, having people over for hangs and chats, and a bit of banter!  I love to do hospitality at our place, hosting the young adults' group from time to time, board-game evenings, evening prayers from the Anglican prayer book and most after-church on Sundays for cuppas, chats, and lunches. You would be so welcome to join in on any of these!

Second flatmate is Cat, They are a student and they have a Cat called Onyx! (such a joy!)

Please feel free to get in touch if you have any more questions or are interested. Can arrange a viewing or a zoom to chat through things! Blessings!
